46 East

We recently moved from our first home. We spent the whole summer before we got married working on this house from the ground up. I seriously loved this house so so much! We have so many memories here and I'm really going to miss it. Its hard to get too sad though, because I'm really excited about our new house and all the amazing memories to come. I wanted to post some pictures of our old house so i don't forget how cute it was!

ER x's 2

It all started when i woke up around 4am on Sunday. I had instant pain in my lower left back. At first i thought maybe it was just a cramp or something since i have started getting them in my legs at night. After it wasn't going away Matt suggested maybe it was a pulled muscle or spasm from moving over the weekend and lifting things i probably shouldn't have. He got me some water and Tylenol and had me get in the bath. It did help a little. I got out and tried to lay down for awhile but i was seriously in so much pain. Then i started feeling really sick like i was going to throw up. Matt kept asking me if we should go to the ER or not. I really hated the thought of having to go the ER, but I wasn't sure what was happening and i was in a lot of pain so i decided we should just go. I went out in the garage and was waiting for Matt to come out, as soon as he came out i started throwing up all over the drive way (of our brand new house haha) After i threw up i felt a lot better so i thought maybe i was fine and we didnt need to go after all. I went inside and was laying on the couch and my back was still in so much pain and i thought maybe i'm going in to pre mature back labor or something, honestly i had no idea what was going on. But since being pregnant i decided we should still go to the ER to figure out what was going on because it definitely wasn't normal and i was worried about the baby.

We got to the ER at about 5:30, they got me all checked in. When the doctor walked in i was throwing up in a trash can and every time he asked me a question i started throwing up (for some reason its kind of funny now haha) so Matt pretty much had to do all the talking for me. The doctor decided that it was probably kidney stones, he said we would get my pain and nausea under control and then take me to do an ultra sound so they could try and take a look since they couldn't do any sort of scan. They gave me an IV and the pain medicine was seriously heavenly! They took me up to get my ultra sound and Matt said he was having the hardest time staying awake haha. We were there for awhile and at that point my pain meds started to wear off. The doctor came back and said everything looked fine with the baby but the heart rate was a little low so they wanted me to do a non stress test. As they were wheeling me up to labor and delivery i started to feel really sick and i had no where to throw up, so i just held up my gown and started throwing up in my gown. haha! They hooked me up to the non stress test and gave me some more pain meds, so i was basically don't remember anything that happen. Matt said this was the worst part because i was pretty much a sleep and he had to just sit there and listen to the babies heart beat for like 25 minutes. Everything was fine with the test and that was such a relief to both of us. After wheeling me back down the doctor said they couldn't really tell if it was kidney stones or not from the ultra sound, but they could tell that it was inflamed and there was blockage, and that i also had a small UTI. They felt good about sending me home with pain meds and some antibiotics for the UTI and to follow up with my OB the next day.

When we got home i felt pretty good and fell asleep for quite awhile. When i woke up i had a hard time keeping the pain under control but felt ok. Later that night i started feeling really sick again and couldn't keep any of the pain or nausea medicine down, which was horrible. I kept throwing up and was in so much pain in my lower back. Honestly the pain was indescribable. I was literally bawling at this point telling Matt that it hurt so bad, and i didnt know what to do. Matt had his brother in law Ryan come over who just had kidney stones to see if he could help. He helped Matt give me blessing where Matt blessed me that i would be able to over come this and that i would find comfort that the baby would be ok. After they gave me a blessing we decided i should go back to the ER because there was no way i was going to be able to spend all night in so much pain.

As we were driving back to the ER i was crying in pain and telling Matt that i was so sorry he had to bring me back. He was so nice and kept telling me not to worry about anything and that everything was going to be ok. When we got to the ER for the second time they hooked me up to another IV and gave me some morphine. Honestly it barely helped! i was like i need something way stronger haha! at one point they asked me what my pain was 1-10 and i said 10! haha! They gave me something stronger and i was seriously in cloud 9. every time i started to feel it again i told them to give me more. haha matt kept calling me a junkie! The doctor decided to call my OB and get a game plan for what to do now. They decided it could still be kidney stones but to start giving me antibiotics for a kidney infection as well. They gave me an antibiotic for the infection through my IV and gave me some stronger pain meds to send me home with. I was really worried to go home again because i wasn't sure if i would be able to keep the pain meds down. On the drive home i actually was feeling pretty good. I went to sleep right when i got home and it seriously a miracle because I've felt pretty good ever since then. I never even took any of the pain meds. When i got up the next day i felt tired and sore but i had no back pain what so ever!! HALLELUJAH!!

I met with the OB the next day and he said keep taking the antibiotics and hopefully i keep feeling good, and to come back in 2 weeks! Honestly it was the craziest experience! Hopefully i dont ever have t go through it again. Matt was seriously the best through it all! i know it wasn't easy for him to spend that much time in the ER and especially to see me so sick and in so much pain and i know he was worried about the baby as well, but he stayed so calm and took such good care of me. He's the best husband and he will be such a good dad!

Can't wait to get the hospital bill! haha! Crossing my fingers we've hit our deductible!
