Hawaii Part 1

Last week we went to Kauai with Summer & Scott and Ray & Chantell. We seriously had so much fun and lucked out with the best weather!! (I'm always worried about getting all the way over there just to have rain the whole time haha) I was super worried that i was just going to be missing Sloane the whole time, but we were so busy with activities that i did pretty good! I am so thankful that Sloane has grandmas that are always willing to watch her so i don't have to worry.

I took like 300 pics so I'm gonna have to divide these in to a few different posts. haha. 

we got a house right on the beach in Poipu on the south end of the island. It was in the cutest little bay/boat harbor so there was never any huge waves or anything. it was seriously sooo nice! we totally felt like high rollers!

The next day we on Captain Andy's up the Napoli Coast. We went snorkeling, had lunch, saw dolphins and whales. On our way up the coast the water was pretty rough so by the time we got there i was sick! haha the whole time we were at the Napoli coast i was pretty much just sitting there trying to not to barf off the back of the boat! So all those pics were taken by matt.

Sloane || 11 Months

I can't believe how big Sloane is, and that she is almost 1!! it really is so crazy! i feel like she has grown up sooo much in the last month! She seriously has the funniest, craziest personality! 

Sloane LOVES wallets and phones! haha! Like you can't even have one out around her or she will have a melt down until you give it to her.

will lay her head on you or a blanket if you say night night. its sooo cute! loves to clap, wave, make fart noises haha and is pretty good at copying us if we tell her to do something. i feel like she's a little puppy dog with all her tricks haha

loves to ride on her unicorn, and tries to get on it by herself, which usually ends up in tears haha. when you put her on it she bounces up and down and goes, "whooooo!"

can now walk along the furniture and will walk if I'm holding her hands, but is still pretty content just crawling. she can also stand for short periods of time and thinks its so funny when she does. 

loves going in to the bathroom haha what is it with babies and bathrooms? if the bathroom door is shut she will bang on it and yell, "daaa daaa" because she thinks matt is in there. haha.

has discovered how to open the cupboards and drawers which is super fun for me ;)

has started to sleep through the night more consistently! come on Sloane.. you can do it! haha

gets super feisty when you take things away from her that she wants, like full on melt down!

LOVES strawberries and blueberries!! literally cries if she sees blueberries and you don't give her any. she also still loves Cheetos haha

took her to the doctor this month and she weighed 24 pounds. she's got to be the biggest 11 month old I know!

it makes me so sad that almost a year has already come and gone, but at the same times so happy to see what a fun, cute little person she is becoming!

Sloane's Hair

Sloane's hair is at the most awkward length. It's too long to do nothing, but too short to do anything haha. Most of the time she just looks like she has a mullet. 

So I decided to be a little adventurous haha. I put little buns all over head and honestly I thought it looked so cute! When I walked out in to the family I'll never forget the look on matts face haha! He was like, "no!" Haha! At first he said it looked like she had popcorn kernels on  her head and that he was not going out in public with her hair like haha! Then he was like, "she is WHITE! She looks like a little black baby." Haha. Then he told me to take some pictures because I wasn't doing her hair like that again. 

I think she looks so dang cute and I will for sure be doing it again!
