while talking about what we wanted to do for memorial day, we decided we wanted to go do something we hadn't done before. i saw a deal on ksl for a little inn near fish lake, so we decided why not! we stayed at a place called road creek inn in loa, utah about 15 miles from fish lake. loa is a city of probably 200 no joke! haha! i didn't even know this place existed, and it was quit the experience!
about an hour before me left we found out that scott was going down to fish lake as well with the boys.
so we got to hang out with them friday and saturday.
no joke, these are the best chairs in the world!

fish lake was so so gorgeous!
but we definitely underestimated how cold it was going to be.
it was soooo cold!! it literally started snowing at one point.
i was so happy we weren't camping, and i could go back to our hotel and take a hot shower at night!

we went to a restaurant in bicknell and bridger ordered the $20 rib eye! haha!
we were seriously all laughing so hard! kids got an appetite!
on sunday we drove about 30 miles south down to capitol reef.
its crazy how such a short distance makes such a big difference in the weather. it was so hot and i ended up getting really sunburned!

capitol reef was so beautiful! we went on the 20 mile scenic drive then
we went on a hike up spring canyon, which we though was going to be about 2 miles..
haha yeah ended up being more like 6, with no water. haha
we barely made it back alive.
we did a little bit more fishing before we came home and i got totally skunked!
but we had so much fun on this little get away! so many fun memories were made that i know we will be laughing abut for a long time! im so glad we decided to come down to fish lake and do something we haven't done before.
i cant wait to come back maybe when its a little bit warmer!
